Sending light to the South

Although I received my Red Cross badge yesterday, I’m not ready for deployment for a national emergency, such as what has occurred in the South with all the death and devastation due to tornadoes.

In fact, in yesterday’s class, we did role plays and our disaster to work with was a tornado.  I find that curious in a kind of macabre way.

But, Reiki and intentional healing can be sent from a distance.  So, from my sanctuary in West Seattle, I hold all those that need support and hope in this time of crisis.

I learned that even in Washington state, we also can have tornadoes, on the Eastern side of the state and that in fact, our state ranks the highest as having all the potential disasters:  floods, lahar, earthquake, volcanoes, tsunamis…..

But for now, as I look out the window and see a sun break on this beautiful spring day, I feel very lucky to be able to offer help to those that need it.

And I know the integrity of the Red Cross will assist those in the South.  The organization will step into action there, providing food, shelter and medical and psychological services to all those affected.
