Crowd of 50 hungry to know about Reiki

Over 50 people came to Changing Hands in Tempe, AZ  tonight to learn about Reiki and how they can take it further into the world.

The event was featured in the local paper and I had a sneaking suspicion it might generate a bit of interest.  As the coordinator brought in more chairs to accommodate the growing crowd, I did some extra grounding and took a deep breath.

I went forth into the group and gave them my all.  When I came up for air I had only 5 minutes to wrap up and a line of people dozens long waiting for me to sign their book or CD.  I’m still humming.  Amazing turnout after Christmas…but I realize this everywhere I go, people are hungry to learn and to feel supported by such healing energy.

The audience was receptive and curious and asked what should they look for in training, how they can create community and my favorite, ‘what is an attunement?’….I heard afterwards that one guest thought he was going to a ‘voodoo talk’ and came away realizing that Reiki was a very practical and viable tool.

Yay for Reiki!  Yay for the book tour.  Arizona interest is very tangible..I’ll be back soon.

For tonight, my work is done!
