Letting go and finding renewal by island energy!

Sunny skies, expansive views and fabulous Reiki community on Orcas Island this weekend!

Seattle would hardly be considered ‘inner city’ living by East coast standards, but urban existence can take it’s toll on body and mind.  Getting out to the beautiful San Juan islands for rest and relaxation is just the cure.

Meeting with Reiki community for presentation of Touching the World Through Reiki is yet another way of connecting in and finding how those in small towns, like being on an island, are able to work and promote energy work.

Walking along the lapping shores, you could hear the seas remind you of your own internal tides, that need to connect with the flow and ease of a soothing sea.

Seagulls and cormorants called out as the evergreen trees bent back and forth gently in the wind.

Venturing further inland, resident artists build enchanted houses with feline residents beckoning to share their love and affection and gratitude for having you stop by and offer a cuddle.

And the final stop being at the local bookstore, Darvill’s where a handful of residents gathered for a lively discussion about Reiki, self-care and relevant ethics and boundaries when dealing with clients.

A group from the Seattle Reiki Fellowship also came out to show their support and encouragement for the expansive

For now until our big trip to Europe this summer, book talks and presentations will be homebound and shared online through virtual chats and tours.  The reminder to let go, take time to go within and honor the pause is once again brought home by this trip out the magical Orcas Island.   So stay tuned, there is always an adventure, each day, whether far or near to encourage, enlighten and inspire!
